Empowering emerging creatives with the Roundhouse

The cultural impact of the Roundhouse almost goes without saying. From its distinctive circular shape (the clue is in the name) to its incredibly diverse programming, it’s one of the most important performance venues in London. But as well as an iconic venue, it’s also one of Europe’s leading centres for young creatives, providing opportunities for 10,000 young people last year alone.

A residency to support emerging creatives

Applications for the Roundhouse’s Resident Artist Programme 2025/26 are now open! Supported by Chilly’s, the free, intensive residency aimed at emerging creatives includes unlimited use of the venue’s state-of-the-art creative studios and rehearsal spaces, monthly workshops, masterclasses and mentoring sessions with industry professionals.

And it’s not just for young musical artists. Past Resident Artists have also included filmmakers, actors, writers, choreographers and poets, and they’re already making their mark. Hohnen Ford from the 2023/24 cohort, for example, is about to tour as the opening act for FINNEAS, while Jack Rooke, the BAFTA-winning creator and writer of Big Boys was in the 2014/15 cohort.

A collaboration based on shared commitment

Chilly’s and the Roundhouse working together just makes sense because both of us are committed to sustainability and empowering young people for the long haul. And as the Official Reusable Bottle Supplier at Glastonbury 2025, music, art and culture are Chilly’s through and through. We’ll be supporting the Roundhouse throughout the year-long initiative and sharing regular updates on our collaboration.

Think you've got what it takes to be one of the next Resident Artists? Get your application in by Monday 5th May.
