Over the last two years, Chilly’s has been working to become a Certified B Corporation (B Corp). We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised for our efforts and to become part of a global movement that’s affecting real change.
What does Certified B Corp mean?
Chilly’s being Certified B Corp means that we are joining a select group of global businesses who have made a commitment to stakeholder governance and have been verified as meeting B Lab’s high standards for social and environmental impact through transparency and accountability.
It captures a wide range of sustainability related topics, including: product footprints, workers’ rights, employee wellbeing, community benefits, and governance structures. This provides B Lab with a clear understanding of all the work we are doing to have a positive impact and to minimise any negative impact.
Why B Corp is so right for Chilly's
The B in B Corp stands for “Benefit for all”, which perfectly reflects Chilly’s ethos.
Being B Corp certified, demonstrates to our stakeholders, colleagues and partners that we are taking sustainability seriously. B Corp provides a robust way to measure yourself and our future progress. We are joining a community of companies that are driving positive change, focused on benefiting their stakeholders, their colleagues, their partners and customers. The journey towards a sustainable future is one which cannot be walked alone.
As part of the certification process, Chilly’s was excited to sign a Declaration of Interdependence. Basically saying that we know that our business is not operating in its own bubble, and that our actions and choices have an impact on others.
This recognition of interdependence enables us to consider how our actions can enhance positive and reduce negative impacts on each other and future generations.

Becoming a B Corp certified company is a huge achievement, but is not an end point. It is part of our wider Responsibility Strategy. It enables us to measure how we are progressing and guides us on key initiatives and areas for improvement.
The next steps in Chilly’s B Corp journey
We are committed to continuous improvement – something that the B Corp movement encourages too.
To maintain our certification, Chilly’s must undertake the assessment every three years, demonstrating that we are still meeting B Lab’s standards. These standards evolve over time, continually being developed and becoming increasingly rigorous. This not only provides us with targets to aim for but ensures we are never resting on our past achievements, and are always striving to become even more responsible.
